Today is Friday! I'm pretty nervous and excited for today. The reason why I'm  nervous is because today are basketball cuts for the team. I hope I really really realllyyy make the team because I love basketball! I know I have tried my hardest and I did my best, so now all I have to do is hope I made it. A lot of my friends say I'm going to make it for sure, but I'm not that confident. I know I should be, but I have my doubts! Even if I don't make it, I would still be happy for those who did and try out again next year.
On the other hand, I'm excited because it's Friday and the weekend is here. It is not just a 2 day weekend, BUT 3 DAYS! Hopefully I get to hang out with my friends and family. I'm also ready to relax because it has been a long, crazy week. I am also looking forward to watch my 49ers play against the  Falcons!! Woohoo! We are definitely taking it to the Superbowl this year! This is going to be my Friday and weekend. I also hope that we don't have any homework this weekend. Well anyway, have a good one everybody!

Today is Friday and I'm super duper excited!! Winter break is finally here and I can't wait until I get home because I'm going to do nothing at all! This whole winter break I just want to relax. But my blog post is not about this because I already blogged about it. My blog post is about basketball tryouts!!! Yes, I'm so excited for that because I really want to make the basketball team AND I love basketball!!
What really sucks is that I have to wait 3 whole weeks! But I guess that is also good because it  gives me extra time to practice. This will be my first time trying out for a sports team at school. I really hope I make the team. I will show everybody who doubted me how much I can do. I have already been practicing, and I say I have been getting better. Hopefully I could obtain good grades for the 3rd quarter also. I don't want to join a sport and then see a sudden change in my grades. So my goal for the 3rd quarter is to make the basketball team, and get straight A's again. I hope everything goes great for me in the 3rd quarter.

I'm so glad that today is Friday! One more week of school, and then we will have winter vacation for 3 weeks! During my winter vacation, I hope I get to relax, spend time with my family, eat some good food, and also to open presents!!!  Another reason why I'm excited for winter break because it will give me extra time to practice for the tryouts for the girls' basketball team! Yes, I'm very looking forward to that because I LOVE basketball, and I would absolutely love it even more if I was able to play for my awesome school. I think I will have a good winter break this year.. but I will also miss *cough"notmiss"cough* school.
This weekend. What I plan on doing this weekend is practice some basketball and maybe clean my room. I don't have much planned, which is good because it gives me more time to chill. What will you be doing for winter break ?

Our last night's homework assignment was to read an article called "Struggle for Smarts." While reading that, I had to keep in mind why we were assigned to read that article. Well, from reading it, I learned that people have different perspective towards intelligence and everyone has different opinions about it. In that article, education in the eastern and western cultures were being compared. There was a person who went to Japan to observe a class, and there was a kid who was struggling with a problem. He didn't give up though; he worked through it until he finally got it right. But as in America, kids would usually give up because they haven't learned it or it's just too difficult. In most classrooms, teachers would call up the one who does it quickly to solve the problem, but not the one who is having the most trouble with it. So what I'm saying is that, struggling will help you learn more. If everything was easy, you wouldn't learn anything because you aren't challenging yourself.

Today is Friday, and we have a spirit rally!! I'm so excited because the rallies are always fun and exciting. The theme of the rally is the 80's. A lot of people are dressed like people from the 80's, and their outfits are funky-fresh! While I was in P.E, I seen the people of the leadership class set up all the posters and balloons in the gym.  I think they are very creative, and they do a good job with the rallies. Our daily schedule has also changed. Instead of going to 7th period after lunch, we have 7th period before lunch. The rallies are always done during 8th period. That means the day is going by fast, and it is shorter. I'm really looking forward to this spirit rally because I really enjoyed the first one!

I'm so excited for this weekend because we have 4 days off from school! That means 4 days away from writing, reading, and listening! But we do have some homework to do, but it is not that much, so I'm cool with that. Well anyway, today is a very special day for me because it is.. my MOM'S BIRTHDAY! I'm very excited  because she's my mom and its her birthday!! I'm going to try my best to make her feel very special on her 46th birthday! I was the very first one to wish her a happy birthday today, and I'm glad I woke up early enough to do so.
Besides celebrating my mother's birthday, I really don't know what I am going to do this weekend. My 49ers are playing on Sunday so I have to be sure I watch the game. Other than that, I think I just might relax and hang out with my family. It is starting to get windy and cold, that means fall is really here!! Yay! And that also means that thanksgiving break is almost here!! That's even more exciting. I think November is one of the best months with all the different holidays and breaks.

I'm so glad that this week is coming to an end. It has been very tiring, but yet very interesting too. During this week, it was Halloween. I enjoyed my Halloween because I spent it with my friends and siblings. I went to the Halloween Dance with my friends, and that was super fun! Then when I got home, I did my homework and waited for trick-or-treaters to ring my doorbell. After an hour or so, all the candy I had to give out was gone! I was surprised by how many people came to my house compared to last year. After that, I went out to eat for dinner with my siblings. Another highlight of my week was getting both a 100% on my blog and digital portfolio for computer class. I was glad because I really worked hard on that!
I'm not sure what are my plans for this weekend is, but I know I'm going to try my best to relax and also prepare myself for the science test on Monday. For sure, my weekend will involve some major studying. I also hope to see some rain over the weekend, because I love the rain!

This week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is a week where we are able to show that we are against drugs by particiapting in the dress days. Starting from Monday to Friday, there were different dress themes. On Monday, we were able to wear sweats because "being drug free is no sweat!" On Tuesday, the theme was "too bright for drugs." On that day, we were able to wear our brightest shirt or sweater. Wednesday was "wear your wackiest clothes" day. On that day, we were able to mismatch our clothes. Thurdsday was crazy hair day, and today (Friday) was jersey day. I participated in almost all of these days. My favorite day in Red Ribbon Week is jersey day because we get to show our team pride, and we don't get to represent our favorite teams at school that much.
I think that Red Ribbon Week is a great idea for schools. It gives students a chance to be creative and different. It also shows that they really are against drugs. Of course, it is always fun because you get to show your silly, and wackiest ideas against drugs.

Since the 2nd quarter started, I made many goals for myself to accomplish. My goals are more challenging now, since I accomplished all of my goals in the 1st quarter. I know that I am capable of doing many more things. Some of my 2nd quarter goals have to deal with school, at home, and the way I act.
I have many academic goals for the 2nd quarter. My main goal is to get straight A's again. I know that things will become harder, which is why I want to push myself to that goal. I know I can do it because I have done it before. Another thing is to finish reading more quickly. I usely take a long time to finish a book, but this quarter, I'm trying to spend at least a week to finish a whole book.
My goals at home are very different from school. One of my goals to accomplish at home is finish my homework before 7 PM. I get distracted fast, and I start procrastinating therefore it causes me to finish all of my homework around 9 PM. I would also like to take my dog for walks more often. He is always trapped in the backyard and I feel sorry for him. My other goals are towards the way I act. I want to be nicer and respectful to everyone. I want to try to give everyone compliments and smiles!

Today is the last day of the 1st quarter!! Woohoo! I'm very excited because it's finally time to finalize my grades. So far, I have straight A's, and hopefully it stays that way when all of my teachers enter in more grades. So far, my 1st quarter at Computech has been awesome. I met so many people, learned so many things, and I truly feel like I'm apart of Computech. I thought that I wouldn't be able to accomplish my goals in the 1st quarter, but I doubted myself. I accomplised all of my goals, and I'm really proud of myself. I know that hard work really pays off!
During this 1st quarter in Computech, I had the opportunity to explore and get use to this school. Now that the 1st quarter is over, I know almost everything about Computech (except for all the teachers). A part of me thought that I was not going to succeed at Computech, or maybe even survive the first week, and the other part of me knew that I was capable of doing everything Computech had to offer. I had the determination to attain all of my goals and have fun here at Computech. The 1st quarter passed by faster than I had expected, but I;m glad that it's over because I have accomplished a lot so far. I'm looking forward to the next 3 quarters because I know I'm going to make more accomplishments.
